OUR STORY

Built out of frustration with proprietary lock-in.

Aether Energy Alliance exists because building owners deserve to own what they buy.

WHY WE STARTED

Liberation from proprietary lock-in.

Aether Energy Alliance was founded out of frustration with predatory incumbent BAS platform practices — recurring licensing fees, forced obsolescence, and closed ecosystems that leave building owners with no real path forward.

That founding ethos runs through every product decision we make: no licensing fees, no forced obsolescence, and no vendor holding your building's data hostage. Aether products are built once, bought once, and owned outright.

What we build against

  • Recurring platform and licensing fees
  • Forced hardware obsolescence
  • Closed, single-vendor ecosystems
  • Rip-and-replace as the only upgrade path
WHAT WE STAND FOR

Principles that don't move.

Open by default

Every device normalizes proprietary and legacy protocols to open standards — BACnet, Modbus, MQTT — so your building automation is never dependent on a single vendor again.

Own what you buy

No subscriptions. No licensing renewals. One-time hardware cost, and the platform is included — permanently.

Built for critical infrastructure

Certificate-based authentication, encrypted peer-to-peer communication, and dual-NIC IT/OT segmentation — engineered to the standard data centers require.

THE MISSION

Bringing the power of BAS to the trades.

We're bringing the sophistication of the building automation industry to the HVAC industry — an intuitive programming platform, purpose-built hardware, and tools that make integration and commissioning approachable rather than specialized.

Automatic graphical representation, plug-and-play secure networking, and easy integration with existing BAS technologies aren't just conveniences — they're how we address the skilled labor shortage facing the trades.

ROOTED IN THE FIELD

From the trades to critical infrastructure

We started as electricians and HVAC technicians, and carried that hands-on foundation into building automation, controls, and mission critical infrastructure — BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, MQTT, protocol conversion, data center instrumentation, andcommissioning.
